Pusateri Consulting and Training capped off its first 15 years with an evening of celebration that brought together over 120 clients, friends, family and long time associates at the Saturn Club in beautiful downtown Buffalo. As much as it was good to reflect back, 2007 proved to be an outstanding foundation for the next 15 years as a number of major client initiatives and a significant new program, Pricing Your Value all took root. So the evening was as much about looking enthusiastically towards the future as it was about celebrating the past.
Clients and friends came from around North America to help Leo and the team enjoy great food and the world class jazz as offered up by the Hayes Kavanagh New York City Jazz Band. This world renowned group of jazz all-stars was making their first appearance in Buffalo and immediately won the hearts of the crowd as their talent and showmanship manifested itself in many jazz standards and great improvisation. "We were lucky to get them here" stated Pusateri's Managing Director Giles Kavanagh, who negotiated the arrangement to secure his father's band. "They have a robust schedule in the New York City area and also do an annual European tour, so I was pleased when my dad (Hayes Kavanagh) said that the dates would work out."
At the beginning of the day, Leo had been challenged by a group of clients and long time associates to prove his golf prowess on his home course at the Country Club of Buffalo. Fighting off the frost and cool winds, Leo responded with his characteristic competitive streak but also provided friendly encouragement to the hearty participants. The group was also joined by infamous Buffalo native golf pros Allen and Cindy Miller who are close personal friends of Leo.
In the afternoon, the Pusateri team was joined by some long time advocates for a roundtable discussion that highlighted changes and industry trends that have transpired since 1992, the inaugural year of the company. This session transitioned to a dinner prepared by the Saturn club chef as Leo was joined by his family and close friends as some stories and well wished were exchanged.
The celebratory evening had an upbeat and decidedly relaxed tone as the intimate ballroom of the Saturn Club, with its small stage and cabaret style seating, allowed everyone to mix and mingle, share stories, enjoy a cocktail and partake in a variety of hors d'oeuvres. Overall the evening was a roaring success and it was Leo's way of saying let's celebrate all that we have done together and "Thank you" for being a part of it. Amidst the revelry, one thing was very clear, that over the past 15 years Leo has touched a lot of lives and for many, the personal and professional transformation has been remarkable. As extraordinary as the past 15 years have been, there was an energetic anticipation of what the next 15 will bring.
